More than two million people in the United States die each year from major complications from- Heart disease, cancer, stroke, tobacco use, unbalanced nutrition and a lack of physical activity.
How much control people do have to avoid from common causes of death? Many factors influence the condition of your health. You can control many but not all.
You can take steps toward healthy living in order to reduce your risk of serious diseases. For instance, eat a variety of healthy foods, be physically active, maintain healthy weight, control your sugar level, quit smoking, control your blood pressure and cholesterol, and make sure routinely to see your doctor for regular screening.
Cardiovascular diseases like heart disease and stroke are among the nation's leading killers for both men and women among all groups of people.
